This chapter maps the dental services UAE clinics market and sets out what clinics and aggregators publish about price, by service family and emirate. The evidence base is 247 price observations: 191 rows collected for this edition (57 clinic-published, 134 aggregator or press estimates) and 56 provider-published rows carried from the ONS draft register. The headline finding is that clinic-published prices are thin outside Dubai and Ajman, bases differ from page to page, and most cross-emirate "comparisons" available in public are aggregator ranges that the main aggregator says are not taken from any price list (Zavis, 2026).

In brief

Of the 191 price rows collected in October 2026, 57 are clinic-published (Platform) and 134 are aggregator, press or secondary reports (Estimate); Dubai has 59 rows, Abu Dhabi 40, Sharjah 28, the four other emirates 47 and UAE-wide sources 17 (Mediclinic, 2026; Zavis citing Aesthete Dental Clinic, 2026).

Clinic-published rows are concentrated: 20 of the 47 rows for the other emirates come from two Ajman providers, Saudi German Hospital Ajman and VPM International Healthcare. No clinic-published price was found in Umm Al Quwain (Zavis, 2026).

Zavis, the largest single source (69 rows), mixes provider-published prices read on 14 to 15 October 2026 with its own indicative ranges that it states are "not from a published price list".

Bases vary: "from" prices, ranges, per-tooth, per-arch, per-course, packages with listed inclusions, rack versus member prices, and promotional prices limited to self-pay patients (Mediclinic, 2026; Saudi German Hospital Ajman, 2026).

VAT treatment is stated explicitly by only two providers in the collected set: The Dome MedDental Clinic (JLT, Dubai) adds 5% VAT; Mediclinic (Abu Dhabi and Al Ain) quotes some items including VAT and others excluding it.

UAE VAT rules zero-rate preventive and treatment healthcare by licensed dentists and standard-rate cosmetic services that are neither treatment nor preventive at 5% (PwC summary, 2018) (PwC Middle East, Jan 2018; Gulf News).

Programme prices are deep discounts on a stated rack price: for example a German zirconium crown at AED 2,000 rack and AED 800 for Ajman Bank members (currency and date not stated on the list) (VPM International Healthcare, 2026).

Dubai's ST-21 advertising standard treats inaccurate prices, prices without conditions and time-limited inducements that cannot be met as unacceptable, while fee statements, insurance arrangements and instalment plans may be stated (DHA).

Where Zavis applies the same indicative basis across emirates, Dubai sits highest for porcelain veneers (AED 1,500 to 5,000 per tooth) and root canals (AED 1,200 to 4,500).

The service map

The ONS draft organised dental services into eight families, each with a different commercial unit. The point of the taxonomy is to stop high-value treatments crowding out essential care in a clinic's marketing plan. It is a planning taxonomy, not a clinical guideline and not evidence of any provider's privileges. The table below keeps the draft's families and adds, for each, the regulatory anchor found in the notes and the number of price observations collected for this book.

The row counts are an ONS classification of the price files by treatment name and are approximate groupings: some rows straddle families (a whitening package that includes scaling, a children's package that includes cleaning). They show where public pricing exists, not where demand or revenue sits. Cosmetic and restorative services account for the largest block of observations, which reflects what clinics and aggregators choose to price publicly rather than what patients buy most often (Mediclinic, 2026; Zavis citing Aesthete Dental Clinic, 2026).

Who may deliver which service

The service map only becomes a marketing plan once a clinic confirms which services each branch delivers through appropriately authorised professionals. In the MOHAP jurisdiction (mainly Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and federal facilities), Ministerial Resolution 173 of 2024 sets the general dentist scope: whitening is inside it, other cosmetic dentistry is limited to what the document lists, aligners must be referred to an orthodontist, and implants, lasers and nitrous oxide sedation need separate MOHAP privileges. General dentists may not treat under general anaesthesia (MOHAP). MOHAP recognises 13 dental specialties; the DHCC free-zone standard lists 7 clinical specialties.

In Dubai, the DHA issued Updated Dubai Dental Guidelines Version 2 on 26 March 2026 (Circular 391), covering 11 clinical areas including prosthetic, implant, paediatric and orthodontic dentistry (DHA). Under the earlier 2021 orthodontic guideline, treatment was directed by consultant or specialist orthodontists with general practitioners referring; the version 2 text was not checked for this edition (DHA). Dubai's dentist workforce in 2024 comprised 107 consultants, 1,204 specialists and 3,269 general, resident or trainee dentists (2.3%, 26.3% and 71.4% of 4,580) (DHA; Dubai Health Authority). Partial register counts by area show the mix behind those totals: in Business Bay, 86 of 122 matched dentists (70.5%) were general dentists and 10 (8.2%) orthodontists; in Umm Suqeim, 160 of 243 (65.8%) were general dentists and 31 (12.8%) orthodontists (Zavis, 2026).

What it means for marketersA group's full portfolio is not automatically available at every branch. A service page, an ad group or an aggregator listing should exist only where the named clinician holds the matching privilege, and specialist services such as aligners and implants should name the treating clinician's role.

Prioritise readiness alongside case value

The ONS draft's readiness test still applies: a treatment is commercially attractive only when the clinic can deliver and measure it.

CriterionStrong pilot candidateWeak pilot candidate
Clinical capacityQualified team and available assessment slotsAvailability uncertain or borrowed across branches
Offer clarityWritten scope and a credible quotation pathwayLow entry fee hides mandatory components
Decision supportBalanced explanation and named clinicianGeneric sales page with outcome promises
Booking operationsResponsive staff and tracked appointmentsUnanswered calls and unrecorded WhatsApp leads
EconomicsCollected receipts and delivery costs knownOnly advertised price or deposits available
MeasurementDeduplicated cohort to paid careClicks treated as patients

ONS reading Apply the readiness test separately to implants, aligners, veneers and family care. A well-run paediatric or preventive service may be a better first pilot than an expensive implant campaign with poor appointment access; a clinic with a mature specialist team and reliable case reporting may justify a higher assessment acquisition cost. Maintain a family and general-care foundation while testing selected high-value pathways, and ask the clinical director which appointments are genuinely available, which services have reliable delivery economics and which enquiries should be referred elsewhere. Imaging and sedation belong in the plan as supporting pathways when clinically indicated, not as standalone volume targets.

For a course spanning many months, such as aligners or full-arch rehabilitation, the clinic should reserve the expected delivery obligation when it measures contribution. A large initial payment is not evidence that the course has already produced its full margin. Chapter 17 sets out the planning models.

The price evidence base

The research file for this edition holds 191 rows, one price per row, read on 27 October 2026 unless a row states otherwise; no averages were computed (Mediclinic; Zavis citing Aesthete Dental Clinic). It excludes the five providers already in the ONS draft register (True Smile, Truly Dental, DentalDate, ESMC and Thumbay Dental Hospital), whose 56 price rows are reported separately below. The grade logic is strict. A price on a clinic's own site, or a clinic price list published by a bank (Ajman Bank) or a government discount programme (Dubai Government HR Waffer), is graded. Aggregator listings (Zavis, WhatClinic, Bookimed, DrFive), press compilations and aggregator summaries of clinic pages that could not be fetched directly are graded, even when they name the clinic.

Within "Others", Ajman holds 25 rows (21 of them clinic-published), Ras Al Khaimah 8, Fujairah 7, Umm Al Quwain 6, and one Sharjah Social Services "Sanad" card partner row covers Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah together. Two Fujairah rows are the same W.I. Dental Clinics crown price recorded twice, and the clinic's Fujairah branch was not confirmed; it should be counted once and kept out of emirate comparisons. By source, the 134 Estimate rows break down as Zavis 69, WhatClinic 43, Gulf News 10, Bookimed 7 and DrFive 5 (ONS count).

What it means for marketersPatients and AI assistants searching for UAE dental prices mostly meet aggregator figures, not clinic menus. A clinic that publishes its own dated, basis-explicit price page becomes one of a small number of primary sources in its emirate, particularly outside Dubai.

Published prices by service family and emirate

The two tables below set out what was found, family by family. The first holds only clinic-published (Platform) prices; the second holds only aggregator, press and secondary (Estimate) prices. Each cell names the provider, the price in AED unless stated, and the basis as published. These are single-provider observations, not representative prices, and they must not be averaged into a "UAE price". VAT, validity and inclusions are as published; "rack/member" means the regular price and the programme member price. Implant rows are summarised here and analysed in Chapter 09.

UAE-wide press and aggregator figures

Seventeen rows carry no emirate. The most quoted is a Gulf News compilation of 22 October 2026, built from interviews with practitioners and an insurer: routine check-up and consultation AED 150 to 300; check-up and cleaning AED 250 to 700; tooth-coloured filling AED 250 to 800; root canal AED 1,200 to 4,500 per tooth; crown AED 1,000 to 4,000; implant with restoration AED 5,000 to 15,000 per tooth (Gulf News). The same article gives family budgets: children's preventive care AED 800 to 2,000 a year, a prevention-focused uninsured family of four AED 3,000 to 6,000 a year, and about AED 3,000 a year per child according to a paediatric dentist, said of children whose teeth are well maintained. The price file grades these figures Estimate; the patient file grades the same article Industry (Gulf News). They are expert estimates, not a price survey. Zavis's own UAE pages report provider-published scale and polish prices of AED 99 to 1,300 across 5 cities and root canal prices of AED 449 to 5,400 across 4 cities. A second Zavis compilation, read from 11 provider websites on 14 October 2026, gives 12 published cleaning prices from AED 99 to 1,300, of which 3 are "from" prices.

Cross-emirate comparisons on identical bases

The rules of this book allow a cross-emirate comparison only where the basis is identical. Three sets qualify. The first is Zavis's indicative ranges, which use one compiler's method across emirates; the second is the Gulf News expert set, which has no emirate split; the third is programme pricing, where one provider shows a rack and a member price for the same item. Clinic menus do not qualify, because their bases differ even for similarly named items.

On Zavis's indicative per-tooth basis, porcelain veneers run from AED 1,500 to 5,000 in Dubai, AED 1,300 to 4,500 in Abu Dhabi city, AED 900 to 3,500 in Al Ain, AED 800 to 3,500 in Sharjah, AED 800 to 3,000 in Ajman, AED 900 to 3,200 in Ras Al Khaimah and AED 800 to 2,800 in Umm Al Quwain. Clinic-published veneer prices sit both inside and outside these ranges: ESMC in Sharjah advertises from AED 299 per tooth and Al Durar AED 290 list, while DentalDate in Dubai starts from AED 5,500. Material is rarely split on clinic pages, so a "veneer" row may be composite or porcelain.

In-office whitening ranges are AED 700 to 2,800 in Abu Dhabi, AED 500 to 2,200 in Sharjah, AED 600 to 2,200 in Ras Al Khaimah, AED 600 to 2,000 in Fujairah and AED 500 to 1,800 in Umm Al Quwain (Zavis, 2026). Zavis labels several Sharjah ranges as "published" on its Sharjah versus Dubai comparison page and as "indicative" on its Sharjah list page, so this book treats all of them as estimates.

ONS reading The Zavis ranges are useful for one purpose only: showing that one compiler, using one method, places Dubai's upper bound above the other emirates for veneers, root canals and implants. They do not show what a typical patient pays in any emirate, and they cannot be set against a clinic's own menu as if the two were the same kind of figure. A clinic that wants to argue it is good value should compare its written quotation basis with named, dated competitor pages on the same basis, not with an aggregator band.

Rack and member prices on the same list

Programme price lists are the clearest evidence of discount depth because the same provider states two prices for the same item. VPM International Healthcare in Ajman publishes, on an Ajman Bank list that states no currency (AED assumed) and no date, scaling at 250 rack and 100 member, a composite filling at 200 and 100, a back-tooth extraction at 400 and 200, a ceramic crown at 1,000 and 500, a German zirconium crown at 2,000 and 800, and a complete denture at 8,000 and 4,000. Al Durar Dental Center, a Sharjah clinic on King Faisal Street, lists prices for Dubai Government HR Waffer members valid from 29 April 2025 to 29 April 2027: scaling 150 list and 80 member, root canal 350 and 280, zircon crown 500 and 400, and Hollywood smile 3,900 and 2,500.

On those lists, member prices are 40% to 50% of rack for VPM and between 53% and 80% of list for the Al Durar items above (ONS arithmetic from the published pairs). Other programme channels found are the Sharjah Social Services Sanad card, whose partners offer 50% off scaling and polishing or 30% off dental services, and an Emirates Islamic card offer of 15% off all dental treatments for Emarati and Alpha Youth card holders and 10% for other Emirates Islamic cards at Dr. Michael's Dental Clinic, valid to 17 February 2027 (Sharjah Social Services "Sanad" card partner, 2026; Sanad card partner, 2026).

How prices are published

Bases

The collected menus use at least seven bases, and a single page can mix several of them:

"From" prices, the dominant form on clinic blogs and starter menus: The Dome MedDental implant from AED 6,160, DentalDate implant from AED 6,500, ESMC scaling from AED 49.

Ranges on a clinic menu: True Smile Straumann placement AED 5,500 to 6,500; Truly porcelain veneers AED 1,950 to 2,250.

Per tooth with volume thresholds: Saudi German Hospital Ajman veneers at AED 825 per tooth for up to 9 teeth and "Hollywood smile" at AED 750 per tooth for 10 or more.

Packages with listed inclusions and exclusions: the Saudi German implant package (implant, consultation, OPG and a 5-year warranty; crown, graft and CBCT excluded); Emirates Hospital Group whitening tiers that add fluoride varnish, home gel syringes and trays.

Per arch or per course: Truly full-mouth implants from AED 25,000 per arch; The Dome retainer from AED 1,200 per arch; Invisalign by case complexity (Truly Dental, 2026; The Dome MedDental Clinic, 2026).

Rack and member pairs on bank and government programme lists (VPM International Healthcare, 2026; Al Durar Dental Center, 2026).

Promotions with eligibility limits: Mediclinic's limited-period dental offer is for self-pay patients only and cannot be combined with ESAAD or FAZAA discounts.

Exclusions matter as much as the headline. Truly's root canal prices exclude the final restoration, DentalDate's root canal excludes fillings, Polar Bear's multi-canal microscope price excludes anaesthesia and X-ray, and the Saudi German crown includes the consultation. Truly's menu holds two different implant crown entries (from AED 1,722 in the staged menu and AED 3,500 in the crown menu), so its price basis is qualified.

VAT notes

The VAT rules summarised by PwC zero-rate preventive and treatment services supplied by a licensed dentist and standard-rate at 5% cosmetic services that are neither treatment nor preventive; the executive regulations as reported by Gulf News treat elective cosmetic treatment as standard-rated unless prescribed to treat or prevent a condition (PwC Middle East, Jan 2018; Gulf News). No Federal Tax Authority clarification specific to cosmetic dentistry was found (Gulf News). In practice, published menus treat VAT inconsistently:

Mediclinic quotes its periodontal items and implant placement including VAT and its veneers, whitening and implant crown excluding VAT. The Dome applies 5% across preventive and cosmetic items alike. This book reports VAT as published and does not judge which treatment is correct.

Offers, payment terms and the advertising rules on price

Price promotion extends beyond menus. Tabby lists dental merchants such as The Curve Dental Clinic, offering 4 interest-free instalments of 25% at checkout and at 1, 2 and 3 months. Tamara's healthcare merchant page says patients can "split clinic fees into up to 4 months, no late fees" and names dental clinics and chains among supported businesses. Private clinics also offer preventive packages, family memberships and instalment plans, and university clinics at Ajman University and the University of Sharjah offer supervised student treatment (Gulf News). A sector-wide Dubai Dental Week is announced for 16 to 22 January 2027, with participating clinics offering discounts, free consultations and packages (Gulf News, Jan 2026).

In Dubai, DHA standard ST-21 version 1.1 (issued 3 August 2022, effective 3 October 2022) sets the limits for social media price messages: inaccurate prices, prices without conditions, and time-limited discounts or inducements that cannot be met are unacceptable; clause 6.11 bans phrases including "very limited quantity" and "get money back"; fee statements, insurance arrangements and instalment plans may be stated (Dubai Health Authority, 2026; DHA). Its banned-word list ("the best", "safest", "100%", "immediate results" and others) was reported again in September 2026 but is the existing 2022 rule, not a new one (Khaleej Times). A facility's official account must show its medical advertisement licence number (DHA). Earlier enforcement shows the risk: the DHA announced legal action against an Al Wasl dental clinic in 2019 over a prize giveaway campaign run without DHA final approval (Gulf News).

What it means for marketersEvery price ad needs its conditions on the same screen: basis (per tooth, per arch, from), what is excluded, VAT treatment, eligibility (self-pay, card holders) and validity date. Scarcity language and countdown offers are the parts most likely to breach ST-21.

Aggregator versus clinic: the caveat

Aggregator prices are the figures most UAE residents and AI assistants meet first, and they behave differently from clinic menus in five ways.

Compiled ranges are not prices. Zavis states that its indicative ranges are compiled by it and "not from a published price list". Its directory lists 9 Umm Al Quwain dental providers, none with published prices, yet it still shows a UAQ implant range of AED 3,000 to 8,500 (Zavis, 2026).

Secondary reports of clinic pages. Several Zavis rows name a clinic (Central Clinic, Sahara Medical Centre, Bliss Clinics, Polar Bear, Mint Dental, Aesthete) whose own page could not be fetched for this book, so they are graded Estimate and are good targets for manual checks. One Dubai row attributes a price to Orthodontix Dental Clinic on a domain that carries another clinic's name.

Currency and dates. WhatClinic and Bookimed sometimes show USD (not converted here), and WhatClinic listings show cache dates rather than price dates.

Eligibility. DrFive's Dubai implant offers apply only to holders of its discount code, and each row shows a higher list price alongside.

Basis not stated. Bookimed's UAE All-on-4 and All-on-6 figures do not state per arch; WhatClinic's GG Clinics "braces from AED 250" is very likely a visit or stage fee.

One overlap shows how aggregator figures can echo a single clinic. Zavis reports provider-published single-implant prices only in Dubai, from AED 3,627 to 9,000, as of 14 to 15 October 2026; AED 3,627 is exactly Truly Dental's listed single implant surgery with crown. Search demand for prices is also small in the one directory dataset available: price or cost searches were 0.6% of Zavis directory impressions across all specialties from 19 September to 16 October 2026, a share of one directory's Search Console impressions, not UAE search behaviour. By contrast, a 2024 ADA survey in the US found that 8% of respondents who cited a source of frustration with a dentist pointed to lack of fee transparency (US, not UAE) (Becker's Dental Review reporting ADA).

ONS reading For a clinic, the practical response to aggregator pricing is to publish its own primary page: dated, basis-explicit, with VAT and exclusions stated, and with structured data that an aggregator or AI assistant can read. That page should describe the quotation basis rather than promise a universal fee. Where an aggregator shows a figure for the clinic, the marketing team should check it quarterly and request correction if it is stale. The quotation-basis sheet recommended in Chapter 09 applies to every service family, not only implants.

Gaps in the evidence

No public data. No clinic-published dental price was found in Umm Al Quwain; Ras Al Khaimah has one WhatClinic braces listing and a multi-emirate Sanad discount row; Al Ain has only the Mediclinic Abu Dhabi and Al Ain offer and a press-quoted implant figure. Invisalign package prices outside Dubai and the True Smile menu in Abu Dhabi were not found. Paediatric prices for pulpotomy, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers and children's sedation or general anaesthesia were not found outside the draft providers (DentalDate, 2026). Clinic sites blocked by the fetch allowlist (Central Clinic, Sahara Medical Centre, Bliss Clinics, W.I. Dental Clinics, Polar Bear, Mint Dental, Aesthete) could not be verified directly. No time series of published prices exists, so price change cannot be measured, and no effect of the February 2026 regional conflict on dental prices or promotions was found in the pages read. A Middle East Insurance Review item (9 July 2026) on Dubai price "quote logic" was paywalled. A future edition should repeat this collection on a fixed date each year, capture the same providers' pages, record VAT, validity and inclusions for every row, and add clinic-published prices in Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Al Ain by direct contact or manual page capture.
