This chapter covers the skin services most UAE cosmetic clinics promote first: medical facials such as HydraFacial, chemical peels, microneedling, mesotherapy and PRP for the face, skin boosters, and dermatology consultations for acne, pigmentation and scarring. Skin care is the best-documented service category outside Dubai, yet published single-session HydraFacial prices from medical providers still run from AED 99 in Ajman to AED 900 in Abu Dhabi, on bases that are rarely identical (Thumbay University Hospital; Aesthetic Clinic Abu Dhabi, 2026). A majority of residents surveyed say preventing ageing matters, but only 12% actively try to slow or reverse it, which favours assessment-led, maintenance-style offers (Aletihad English, 2026; Aletihad English citing YouGov, 2025).

In brief

57% of UAE respondents to the YouGov Anti-ageing Report 2026 said preventing signs of ageing is important; 16% had used traditional anti-ageing skincare and 14% vitamin injections.

Dermatology was 27% of Dubai health tourist demand in 2023 and 31% in 2022, second to dentistry in 2023 and first in 2022 (DHA news 909; Government of Dubai Media Office).

Clinic-published single-session HydraFacial entry prices found for this edition range from AED 99 (a "from" offer in Ajman) to AED 900 (an Abu Dhabi clinic's listed treatment).

Four medical providers in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah publish HydraFacial at AED 249 or less, while a directory guide calls any HydraFacial under AED 250 "a red flag".

One Abu Dhabi clinic publishes six HydraFacial variants from AED 300 to AED 1,200 per single session, with three-session courses from AED 780 to AED 3,300.

Cosmelan depigmentation peels are published at AED 2,000 in Abu Dhabi and AED 3,000 in Dubai, against superficial peels from AED 300 in Dubai (Aesthetic Clinic Abu Dhabi, 2026; Canadian Specialist Hospital).

Profhilo is published at AED 1,250 to 1,500 per session by one Dubai provider and from AED 1,300 by a doctor working in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (Dr Maliha Dar, 2026; Dr Azra).

Under the DHA non-surgical cosmetic standard, version 2 (2022), since updated to version 2.1, Dubai nurses may perform only limited procedures such as some peels and microdermabrasion, prescribed by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon, and PRP is permitted only on the face and hair (DHA; DHA, 2025).

No named clinic in any emirate published a dermatologist consultation fee; the only figures are booking-platform and aggregator ranges (Doctify; Zavis, 2026).

Demand and decision context

Resident attitudes favour prevention and maintenance. In the YouGov Anti-ageing Report 2026 (fieldwork December 2025 to January 2026), 57% of UAE respondents said preventing signs of ageing is important, 42% want to age gracefully while maintaining their appearance and 12% actively try to slow or reverse signs of ageing. 80% spend money every month on skincare, supplements or anti-ageing products or treatments, and 44% of "preventers" spend over AED 300 a month. Past use of clinic treatments is much lower than interest: 16% had used traditional anti-ageing skincare, 14% vitamin injections and 6% Botox, and 40% had tried none of the listed treatments (Aletihad English citing YouGov, 2025). For future treatments, 20% expressed interest in vitamin injections and 15% in collagen boosters or biostimulator injections (Aletihad English citing YouGov, 2025). For a skin clinic, this describes a large group of residents who spend on skin regularly but have not yet booked a medical treatment.

The same survey found residents hear about new treatments by word of mouth (34%), from dermatologists and aesthetic professionals (31%), on social media (30%) and through search engines (25%). 64% of preventers find AI analysis of skin or biological age appealing and 72% would trust AI facial analysis for personalised recommendations (Aletihad English citing YouGov, 2025). That interest raises a privacy question: a facial photograph is a patient health identifier under the DHA confidentiality policy, and marketing is a secondary use that needs consent.

Medical tourism is context, not the main audience. Dermatology was 27% of Dubai health tourist demand in 2023, after dentistry at 29%, and 31% in 2022, when it ranked first (DHA news 909; Government of Dubai Media Office). Dermatology tourists in 2023 came 33% from Asia, 28% from Arab and GCC countries and 23% from Europe (DHA news 909).

Market sizing is weak. P&S Intelligence estimates the UAE dermatology aesthetic market at USD 441.4m in 2025, rising to USD 736.5m by 2030, with clinics at 60.7% of facility type and women at 68.1%. Data Bridge puts a UAE aesthetic dermatology market at USD 24.46m in 2024, on a page that is internally inconsistent. The two estimates conflict by more than an order of magnitude and should not be used together. Supply counts are also indirect: one directory lists 103 dermatology and skin care providers in Dubai drawn from public registers, including beauty salons, and its walk-in page lists 101. Kaya, a regional skin clinic chain, reports 21 clinics across the region and says men are about 35% of its clients (Images RetailME, 2025).

Search interest for skin-quality injectables is visible in UAE data. Fresha's analysis of UAE Google searches from January to September 2025 shows 18,000 average monthly searches for polynucleotide injection and 4,000 for plasma fibroblast. The source notes its period inconsistently, so these are indicative. On one UAE healthcare directory, the dermatology and skin care category drew 20,650 Search Console impressions between 19 September and 16 October 2026, down 13% on the previous 28 days (Zavis).

Who may do what: rules that shape skin offers

In Dubai, the DHA Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures standard, version 2 (2022), since updated to version 2.1, does not list nurses for toxin or fillers; nurses may perform only limited procedures, such as some peels, cryotherapy and microdermabrasion, prescribed by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon (DHA). Titles such as "Cosmetic Specialist", "Aesthetician" and "Beauty Expert" are prohibited; only DHA licence titles may be used (DHA). A June 2025 DHA circular summarising version 2.1 says PRP injections are permitted only on the face and hair, not the body (DHA; Dubai Health Authority). Face-to-face assessment is required before non-surgical cosmetic procedures, and written consent precedes the procedure and is reconfirmed on treatment day (Dubai Health Authority). In Abu Dhabi, the DoH standard in force since January 2025 says non-surgical cosmetic procedures may not be performed on patients under 18, except laser hair removal from 16, and are not permitted in pregnancy (DoH Abu Dhabi). Its only marketing clause asks for "honest and transparent" marketing (DoH Abu Dhabi).

Insurance and tax both push skin treatments to self-pay. Dubai's Essential Benefits Plan excludes all cosmetic healthcare services (Dubai Health Authority circular, hosted by April International, Jan 2025). Elective cosmetic treatment is subject to 5% VAT unless prescribed to treat or prevent a medical condition (Gulf News). Medical dermatology, such as acne under a dermatologist's care, may therefore be priced and taxed differently from a cosmetic facial, and pages should not blur the two.

Separate concerns from treatment names

A patient searching for a skin concern may need an assessment before any product or procedure. A generic "skin treatment" page makes it hard for a visitor to tell whether they are booking a medical consultation or a beauty-oriented facial, which can leave patients with the wrong expectations and generate unsuitable enquiries. A clear page explains the appointment type, who provides the service, how the price is set and what happens if a different course of care is needed.

HydraFacial and branded medical facials

HydraFacial is the most widely priced skin treatment in this edition and the only skin treatment with clinic-published prices in all four emirate groups. The table separates medical providers from beauty venues and lists every clinic-published price found. Prices are single-provider observations; VAT, validity and inclusions are as published, and VAT is not stated unless shown.

Beauty venues also sell HydraFacial-type treatments, and patients see them in the same booking-platform results. A Dubai facial bar lists an "Epicutus Face Deluxe HydraFacial" at AED 999 for 1 hour 35 minutes, an Ajman beauty centre lists HydraFacial at AED 150 for 15 minutes, and a Ras Al Khaimah beauty centre lists an "HDRA Facial - Special" at AED 250 (Fresha; Salonist). None of these venues is a medical clinic, and their prices are not comparable with a medical facility's treatment.

Seven of the twelve providers charted sit below the AED 250 line that the Spalist directory guide calls a red flag, and three of those seven are offers or promotions. Spalist's statement is an editorial view graded Estimate; it is not evidence that these treatments are inferior. The low end is driven by offers and by Sharjah and Ajman providers, the high end by Abu Dhabi listed prices and by premium variants.

Variant ladders and course pricing

Enfield Royal Clinic in Abu Dhabi publishes the clearest pricing breakdown by variant: Signature AED 300 for one session or AED 780 for three, Acne AED 500 or AED 1,380, Deluxe AED 800 or AED 2,200, Brightening AED 850 or AED 2,400, Anti-Aging AED 900 or AED 2,700, and Platinum AED 1,200 or AED 3,300. By ONS arithmetic, the three-session Signature course is AED 260 per session, 13.3% below three single sessions (Enfield Royal Clinic Abu Dhabi).

Other Abu Dhabi course prices follow the same pattern. Central Clinic's three-session HydraFacial course at AED 599 is AED 199.67 per session against AED 249 single, by ONS arithmetic. EDCC's "buy 3 get 3 free" package of six sessions at AED 1,440 is AED 240 per session against AED 450 single. These are menu comparisons within one provider, not emirate differences.

Spalist's ranges are compiled, not quotes, and mix spas with medical providers. The MediFinder homepage advertises HydraFacial "from AED 99 per session" without naming the clinic. Neither is a clinic price, and neither should be used to set or advertise a clinic's own price.

Other branded facials

OxyGeneo is priced at AED 299 for one session and AED 749 for three at both Central Clinic and the SSMC clinic in Abu Dhabi. In Ras Al Khaimah, Smile Care Medical Center lists an OxyGeneo facial at AED 800, a Geneo X facial at AED 900 and a medspa basic facial at AED 350, and Royal Dutch Clinic lists a skin care facial at AED 150 and a Medik8 "Dutch Facial" at AED 300 (Fresha). These are the only Ras Al Khaimah clinic prices in this edition, and they are booking-platform listings. ESMC in Sharjah lists microdermabrasion at AED 150 per session.

Chemical peels and depigmentation

Peel prices vary with the peel type far more than with the emirate. The table lists clinic-published peel prices; marketplace figures follow it.

No clinic-published peel price was found for Sharjah. A medical-tourism marketplace lists a Sharjah hospital's chemical peel from USD 700, and lists another Sharjah hospital at USD 8,500, which the research notes flag as a likely data error (Medigence). ONS does not use the USD 8,500 figure (Medigence). Depigmentation marketing has a further constraint: Snap prohibits skin lightening products or procedures in ads, and Meta lists skin lightening among non-compliant examples under its negative self-perception rule.

Microneedling, mesotherapy and PRP for the face

These treatments are often sold as courses. The table lists clinic-published prices; RF microneedling, which uses an energy device, is covered in Chapter 11.

The Aster package is listed in the myAster app without a branch; its detail page says it is delivered by DHA-licensed nurses, so the research notes infer Dubai. Face PRP falls inside the DHA rule that PRP may be given on the face and hair only (DHA, 2025). The Emirates Hospital Jumeirah figures date from March 2022 and are kept only as an older reference (Emirates Hospitals Group).

Skin boosters and skin-quality injectables

Skin boosters sit between facials and injectables. This book treats them as skin-quality treatments here and covers volumising fillers and biostimulators in Chapter 10. They are injected, so the injector rules in Chapter 10 apply.

Exosome treatments are marketed alongside boosters: Emirates Hospital Day Surgery in Motor City prices an exosome session for face or hair at AED 999 including a specialist consultation, and Dr Azra lists exosome therapy for face and hair from AED 1,000. Chapter 15 covers regenerative claims and the evidence and advertising cautions around them. Promotions for this category are often percentage-only, such as 20% off skin boosters and Profhilo during a Dubai hospital's Eid offer and 30% off Profhilo in Abu Dhabi (Emirates Hospitals Group, 2026; Emirates Hospitals Group).

Dermatology consultations, acne, pigmentation and scars

Medical dermatology has the least transparent pricing within the skin care category. No named clinic in the evidence published a dermatologist's consultation fee. Booking platforms and aggregators give ranges: on Doctify, initial consultations for brow-lift specialists in Al Zahiyah, Abu Dhabi, run from AED 0 to 500. Zavis's indicative specialist consultation ranges are AED 250 to 1,000 in Abu Dhabi city, AED 220 to 800 in Al Ain and AED 200 to 800 in Sharjah, and are not specialty-specific. Central Clinic in Abu Dhabi advertises a complimentary skin assessment.

A few providers publish packages for specific skin concerns. Medcare Aesthetics lists an Anti Acne package and an Anti Pigmentation package, each with two unlabelled AED figures. Enfield Royal in Abu Dhabi lists an Acne HydraFacial at AED 500 for one session and a "scar removal" offer at AED 599. Aster's app lists scar management or carboxytherapy at AED 2,500 with VAT included and sessions not stated (myAster). Thumbay University Hospital in Ajman lists stretch-mark treatment from AED 649. Q-switch laser pigmentation treatment at an Ajman provider is priced at AED 800 regular and AED 350 for one bank's customers; laser pigmentation work is covered in Chapter 11.

Cost-per-lead evidence for dermatology in Dubai is thin. One agency site claims dermatology leads cost AED 80 to 250 per qualified consultation, without a method or date. It should not be used as a benchmark. Chapter 17 sets out ONS planning models instead.

No public data. No named UAE clinic published a dermatologist consultation fee, an acne treatment programme price, a mole or lesion check price, or a priced vitiligo or melasma pathway for this edition (Doctify; AlSharq Hospital). No clinic-published peel price was found in Sharjah, and no clinic-published skin price of any kind in Fujairah or Umm Al Quwain (Medigence; Dr Sunny Medical Centre, 2026). A future edition should collect consultation fees by telephone or WhatsApp mystery-shop from dermatology departments in each emirate, recording whether the fee is credited against treatment.

Advertising skin treatments

Claims rules bite hardest on skin. TikTok does not allow cosmetics and beauty product ads to claim to remove or cure acne or remove wrinkles. Meta's personal health and appearance page lists zoomed-in wrinkles among non-compliant examples, though a reported July 2026 rewrite may have changed this and is unconfirmed on a Meta page. In Dubai, before-and-after images must show the same person with the same lens and no editing, and carry "results may vary" and the risks in the same font size (DHA). A DHA circular in August 2026 warned that non-compliance with social media advertising standards could result in disciplinary action and barred edited before-and-after images (The National).

ONS reading: how to present skin prices Name the variant, the duration, what is included (for example extraction, serum, LED, booster) and whether VAT is included, as the clinics with the clearest pages do. A HydraFacial at AED 199 and one at AED 1,200 are different services, and the page should make the difference visible rather than relying on the word "HydraFacial". Do not describe competitors' lower prices as unsafe; Dubai's advertising standard bans terms such as "the best" and "safest", and a price alone says nothing about clinical quality. For courses, print the per-session equivalent next to the course price, so that the patient does not have to calculate it.

ONS reading: concern pages and the first appointment Build original, clinician-reviewed pages on the consultation process, what to bring, the difference between a session and a course and the follow-up arrangements. Avoid promising complete removal, permanent cure or a fixed number of sessions for every patient. A facial can be an accessible first appointment, but it should not be treated as a guaranteed gateway to more invasive procedures: measure satisfaction, appropriate repeat care and collected revenue, and report service-specific outcomes in aggregate without sending sensitive diagnoses such as acne or pigmentation to advertising platforms.

What to testCompare a page showing only a promotional HydraFacial price with one that also explains the variant, inclusions and consultation. Judge by attended appointments and contribution, with enquiry volume as an intermediate measure.

Gaps in the evidence

Missing emirates and treatments. Ras Al Khaimah has facial prices from two clinics and one beauty centre on one booking platform and nothing else for skin (Fresha); Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain have none (Fresha; Dr Sunny Medical Centre, 2026). Sharjah has HydraFacial, PRP, microdermabrasion and booster package prices from two providers only (Samnan Medical Center, 2026; ESMC, 2026). No clinic-published polynucleotide price was found despite 18,000 average monthly UAE searches in Fresha's analysis. Skin booster prices other than Profhilo and UltraCol are grouped as "from" prices (Dr Azra). A future edition should fetch MediFinder and Zavis treatment pages by emirate for HydraFacial, peels and skin boosters, and record whether each listed price includes VAT.
