Chapter 11

This chapter defines the indicators a UAE hotel can track, from occupancy and RevPAR to CPM and cost per lead. It records the published benchmarks found in the research and explains how to measure each indicator. The headline finding is that the hotel-performance KPIs have official UAE values (Dubai ran at 80.7% occupancy and AED 579 ADR in 2025) while the marketing KPIs almost never do: the only UAE marketing benchmark from a documented dataset is a 2.0% hotel website conversion rate from a September to October 2022 snapshot, and UAE cost data exists only for Meta across all industries in one vendor sample (DET, via Dubai Media Office; The Hotels Network via Hospitality Net).

In brief

  • Dubai's 2025 hotel KPIs were occupancy 80.7%, ADR AED 579 and 154,264 rooms; advisory H1 2026 data put occupancy at 56.4%, ADR AED 701.10 and RevPAR AED 395.70, down more than 35% (DET, via Dubai Media Office; JLL, via IndexBox).
  • The only MENA profit-line benchmarks found are HotStats' February 2019 full-service figures: TRevPAR USD 211.72, GOPPAR USD 79.45, payroll 28.1% of revenue.
  • Cost of acquisition: in D-EDGE's 2023 Europe and Asia sample, paid-direct distribution cost averaged 7.1% of booking value and total direct 3.3%; D-EDGE's 2025 report gives 3.5% for its partner hotels against OTA costs it puts at 12 to 28%; Kalibri's 2016 US sample put all-channel acquisition cost at 15 to 25%; different bases, none a UAE ceiling.
  • Direct share, three different definitions: 36.6% of independent hotel bookings globally (Cloudbeds); HOTREC reports 51.3% direct and 29.9% OTA for European hotels in 2025, with press and the study's summary differing on whether the unit is bookings or overnights; 11.2% booking-engine share in D-EDGE's APAC vendor panel.
  • Cancellation: OTA 21.8% against direct 10.6% in Cloudbeds' sample, cohorts with different guest mixes; Booking.com roughly one in four in D-EDGE's APAC panel; SiteMinder's average fell to 19.15% in 2025 data. Booking-to-arrival lead time: 32.15 days (SiteMinder 2025), 41.5 days UK direct (Profitroom, reported November 2023).
  • Media KPIs by channel, none UAE hotel-specific and each independently aggregated: Meta travel CPM USD 11.94, CPC USD 0.55, CTR 2.34%, CPL USD 27.87 (Superads global vendor sample); Google travel search CTR 9.32%, CPC USD 2.14, CVR 5.83%, CPL USD 44.70 (US, April 2025 to March 2026); hotel median ROAS 15.19x Google and 4.83x Meta (Varos, attributed revenue, geography not stated).
  • Website conversion: UAE 2.0% (2022 snapshot); independents 0.73% website and 3.28% booking engine; groups 1.9% and 6.8% (h2c, global, 2020) (The Hotels Network via Hospitality Net; h2c via Prostay).
  • Email: hotel newsletter CTR 2.15% and open 42.78% for targeted lists under 5,000 (Revinate 2026); Middle East all-industry open 16.39%, click 0.89% (Benchmark Email); post-stay survey completion under 5%.
  • Not established in reviewed sources: UAE repeat guest rate, review-score and NPS benchmarks, MICE or wedding lead KPIs, attribution model comparisons with hotel numbers, and WhatsApp and call tracking benchmarks for hotels; Shiji reports a global hotel NPS of 56.9 for Q2 2026.

1. KPI definitions and published benchmark values

The definitions in Table 11.1 follow standard USALI and STR usage as recorded in the research notes; the primary STR and HFTP glossary pages were not fetched in this edition, so the formulae are definitional rather than cited. The table separates four types of measure, as combining them can make reports misleading: bookings (gross and net of cancellation), leads and conversations (enquiries that may or may not become bookings), revenue (gross booked, stayed and net of distribution cost) and media ratios. Tables 11.2 and 11.3 then record every published benchmark value from the notes with its geography and period, one dataset per row. Where the research notes contain no published benchmark for a KPI, the row states this and the gap is listed at the end of the chapter.

What it meansOnly occupancy and ADR have current UAE values from official sources, and the 2026 figures are advisory samples (Dubai Media Office, data DET; IndexBox (UAE Hospitality Report H1 2026), data JLL) . Every marketing KPI in Table 11.3 is benchmarked against US, European or global data, and a UAE hotel's own account history is the only UAE benchmark it will have for a year or more.

2. A KPI hierarchy: what each level answers

Hotel marketing reports often mix different levels of performance. CPM and RevPAR may be discussed together without explaining how one relates to the other. The hierarchy below orders the KPIs by the question each level answers, from the owner's question at the top to the campaign manager's at the bottom. Each level is reported against the level above it, so that a change in cost per click can be traced through to a change in direct share and ultimately to net RevPAR.

ONS READING We report the top two levels monthly to owners and general managers, the demand and funnel levels monthly to revenue and marketing managers, and the media level weekly to the campaign team. The link that matters most in the UAE market of 2026 is between the channel-mix and business levels: with advisory data putting Dubai RevPAR down more than 35% in the first half of 2026, the channel mix is the largest controllable lever on net revenue, and it is invisible in a report that stops at RevPAR. Two separate global datasets point the same way, SiteMinder's observed website booking value of USD 516 against USD 312 for OTAs and Cloudbeds' observed direct cancellation of 10.6% against 21.8% for OTAs, but they are different samples with different guest mixes, so the size of the lever for any one hotel comes from its own stayed revenue and cancellation by channel, not from combining the two.

3. Benchmarks you can expect, by channel and by hotel type

This section collects the benchmark values a UAE hotel marketer is most likely to be asked about, organised first by channel and then by hotel type. Every figure is US, European or global unless the row says UAE, and the UAE rows are either all-industry (not hotel) or agency estimates. None is a target; the figures are grouped by dataset so that unlike samples are not ranked against each other, and the paid media chapter holds the full per-channel tables. This section states what the figures do and do not imply for target-setting.

By channel

On Meta, the only UAE reference points are Superads' all-industry vendor sample: an average CPM of USD 15.80 for July 2025 to July 2026 with monthly extremes of USD 8.92 and USD 23.52, and a CPC of about 1.08 in a currency the tool does not state; the same vendor's global Recreation and Travel figures are USD 11.94 and USD 0.55, so a UAE hotel account reporting costs between the two is within the range of these two observations, which is a weak check rather than a benchmark. Travel CTR of 2.34% in the global vendor sample and 2.28% in US traffic campaigns are the click-through reference points (Superads; WordStream by LocaliQ, 2025). Published Meta cost per lead sits between the global Recreation and Travel figure of USD 27.87 and the UAE all-industry figure of about 41.08; cost per purchase for travel is USD 110.40 globally, more than twice the all-industry figure in the same sample, which is the figure to quote when a client expects ecommerce-like booking costs (Superads). Published Meta ROAS ranges from Vaizle's 1.00 average for travel accounts to Varos's 4.83x hotel median, both attributed-revenue ratios that conflict because of account size.

On Google search, the US travel medians are CTR 9.32%, CPC USD 2.14, conversion 5.83% and cost per lead USD 44.70 (April 2025 to March 2026), separate medians that need not form a consistent single campaign. The global medians from Two Minute Reports (CTR 5.47%, CPC USD 0.23, CVR 6.45%, CPA USD 3.62) are far cheaper and come from a thinly described method; the only UAE figures are Digital Gravity's CTR 4.87%, CPC AED 17.19 and CPA AED 164.27 from its own campaigns, with no period or sample. These three sources conflict by a factor of 20 on CPC. On Hotel Ads and metasearch, the measured conversion anchors are 4.10% (D-EDGE, Europe and APAC, 2022) and 6.07% (Triptease, Americas, 2019); in D-EDGE's sample the free booking link converted at 3.66%, 0.44 percentage points below paid, and in Mirai's separate sample paid placements converted at 3.60% against 2.08% in search and 3.36% against 2.29% in Maps, which Mirai pools as paid 62% higher. Hotel Ads CPC rose 14% year on year in Cendyn's client sample in H1 2025. Hotel search ROAS of 4:1 to 8:1 is one agency's opinion, with 8:1 and above for brand terms, 3:1 to 5:1 non-brand and above 10:1 for retargeting; a blended figure near Varos's 15.19x is a prompt for the cannibalisation check.

On TikTok the published travel figures conflict with each other (CTR 0.22% against 0.98%; CPC USD 0.98 against 1.21) and have no stated geography; the Middle East CPM range is USD 3.40 to 7.80 and CPC USD 0.30 to 0.80, a vendor estimate (Focus Digital; DigitalApplied via Hawky.ai, Q1 2026). On YouTube the only travel figures are CPM USD 4.70 and CTR 0.78%, undated and without geography (via Foundry CRO). LinkedIn's global B2B ranges (CTR 0.4 to 1.0%, CPC USD 6 to 15, CPL USD 75 to 300, Lead Gen Form conversion 8 to 15%) are the only anchor for MICE prospecting (ClickMinded synthesis, 2026). Snapchat has advertising-reach data for the UAE (5.13m) but no cost benchmark (DataReportal, late 2025).

By hotel type

The research notes compare hotels in three ways: independents versus groups, by hotel class, and by stage of development. Independents convert less of their website traffic (0.73% against 1.9% for groups) and less of their booking-engine traffic (3.28% against 6.8%) in the h2c study (h2c via Prostay, 2020); Foundry's compilation puts chain websites at 1.9%, boutique at 0.73 to 2.25% and optimised chains at 4.72%. Independents also depend more on OTAs: 63.4% of their bookings globally (Cloudbeds) and, in Europe, Booking.com takes 69.4% of OTA bookings at independents against 56.3% at chains. Independents lose rate parity in 37% of searches, beat the OTA rate in 54% and meet it in 9% (via Prostay, H1 2025). On budget, the US department data shows resorts spending USD 6,161 per available room on S&M excluding franchise fees against USD 1,116 at limited-service hotels, a ratio of more than five to one (CBRE via Hospitality Net). Foundry's ROAS estimates by type are chain 4 to 8x, boutique 3 to 6x and luxury 5 to 10x, a compilation. On stage, practitioner recommendations run 4 to 6% of revenue for established hotels and 10 to 15% for new or repositioned ones, opinion rather than measurement (Hospitality Net panel; Gourmet Marketing). In the UAE's 2026 downturn, industry reporting in October 2026 said luxury and upper-upscale hotels had the steepest occupancy declines while midscale held up on domestic, regional and corporate demand, which argues for different conversion and cost targets by class in the recovery period (Cavendish Maxwell, via Skift).

What it meansFor a UAE independent whose own data is not yet available, the nearest reference points are the h2c independent booking-engine rate of 3.28% and the 2022 UAE website figure of 2.0%, not the group figures of 6.8% and 1.9%; a property converting below the h2c independent range has a funnel problem to examine before it has a media problem (h2c via Prostay; The Hotels Network via Hospitality Net) .

4. Measurement: attribution, tracking and the data that exists

The quality of measurement determines which of the figures above a hotel can rely on. The notes hold qualitative evidence on attribution and tracking but no hotel-specific published comparison of attribution models, and the gaps are recorded at the end of this section.

Attribution models and view-through

Last-click attribution credits the final touch before the booking and is what most booking-engine and ad-platform reports show by default. The evidence in the notes shows how far it can mislead. In the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research switchback experiment across 26 independent boutique hotels (April to August 2022, country not stated), adding a sponsored Hotel Ad beside the free link raised total bookings by about 41% on the authors' estimate while cutting the organic link's CTR from 3.77% to 1.09%: a last-click report would show paid bookings rising and organic falling, and would miss that the net gain was the estimated 41%, not the paid total. In D-EDGE's Performance Max comparison, bookings rose 17% while spend rose 69% when PMax replaced manual campaigns, which implies cost per booking up 44.44% assuming like-for-like conversion definitions; a platform-reported conversion count alone would not reveal the cost movement, and the ratio by itself does not determine whether profit was positive or negative. Cendyn's 15:1 ROAS warning is the same point in reverse: brand-term clicks from guests already intending to book inflate last-click ROAS. Prostay's incrementality split, in which 30% of metasearch bookers would have booked anyway, 20% would have booked through an OTA and 50% are incremental, is an unsourced estimate but is the only published attempt to quantify the issue for hotels. The booking-to-arrival window makes view-through and multi-session attribution unavoidable: average lead time was 32.15 days (SiteMinder, 2025) and 41.5 days for UK direct bookings (Profitroom, reported November 2023), a&o Hostels' TikTok conversion window was 7 to 14 days, and desktop produced 63% of bookings and 71% of revenue in Cendyn's H1 2025 client campaigns while mobile carried most of the traffic, so the click and the booking are routinely on different days and devices.

Call and WhatsApp tracking

In the UAE, a large share of hotel enquiries never reaches the booking engine. In a YouGov poll of 1,000 UAE respondents for Zbooni, 85% said they prefer to contact companies through WhatsApp and 65% had messaged a business in the past year, against 55% by call centre and 48% by email; these are stated preferences, not penetration or conversion rates; Infobip puts UAE WhatsApp penetration at about 90%. Among the hotel clients in Asksuite's own WhatsApp customer base, 55% run click-to-WhatsApp ads; Meta's messaging billing and any free-entry window are current operational terms to be confirmed in Meta's documentation (Asksuite, 2026). No cost or conversion benchmark for click-to-WhatsApp or call tracking in UAE hotels was found in the sources reviewed (YouGov for Zbooni via Communicate Online, 2024). The measurement requirement is that conversations are counted separately from leads and bookings, and that every WhatsApp conversation and call that produces a booking is tagged back to its source campaign in the CRM; otherwise paid social in the UAE will be judged on booking-engine conversions it never produces.

Booking-engine tracking

The booking engine is where the funnel KPIs are measured, and three data points define the minimum tracking. Google's Target ROAS bidding for Hotel Ads requires a Purchase conversion carrying the full booking value, so revenue, not just a booking count, must pass from the engine to the ad account (Mirai). The funnel stages that THN benchmarks (visitor to booking engine, booking engine to booking) and the abandonment stages that SaleCycle tracks (17.6% of visitors start a booking, 3.1% complete) each need their own event. Rate disparity belongs alongside conversion because it is a conversion driver: the Middle East and Africa had the highest disparity frequency at 30.4% of searches in THN's 2021 data (quarter not specified), and OTAs undercut the hotel rate in more than 15% of searches in every country of the 2022 Middle East snapshot (The Hotels Network, Q2 2021; The Hotels Network via Hospitality Net). Site speed belongs in the same report: a 0.1 second gain was worth 10% more booking-rate progression and 2.2% more checkout completion in Google's 37-site study (via Webtonic).

The data the notes hold, and what is missing

For a UAE hotel, the documented external data available for measurement calibration is: official Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah performance figures (DET, via Dubai Media Office, 2025; DCT Abu Dhabi, via Gulf News, 2025); Superads' UAE all-industry Meta cost series; THN's 2022 UAE website conversion (The Hotels Network via Hospitality Net); UAE platform reach from DataReportal; and WhatsApp preference data. Everything else is imported from other regions.

Not established in reviewed sources. Attribution model comparisons with hotel numbers: last-click against data-driven, view-through contribution, assisted conversions. Looked for in Google Analytics 4 case studies, Cendyn, Sojern and D-EDGE material; only qualitative statements and the unsourced Prostay 30/20/50 split were found. Anonymised model-comparison exports from Cendyn or Sojern would be the likely source.
Not established in reviewed sources. Click-to-WhatsApp and call tracking benchmarks for UAE hotels: cost per conversation, conversation-to-booking rate, call-to-booking rate. Looked for in Meta, Infobip, Asksuite and CallRail material; only preference and adoption figures exist. ONS intends to address this with permissioned, aggregated campaign data, subject to client consent and data readiness.
Not established in reviewed sources. UAE booking window, length of stay, cancellation rate, repeat guest rate, NPS and review-score benchmarks. 5. MICE and wedding lead KPIs

Meetings, incentives, conferences and weddings are sold through enquiries rather than booking engines, so their KPIs are lead KPIs: enquiries, cost per lead, lead-to-proposal rate, proposal-to-contract rate, contracted revenue per lead and response time. The demand side has official UAE numbers: Abu Dhabi hosted 2.2 million MICE delegates at 6,600 events in 2025, up 40% and 37% respectively, and Ras Al Khaimah's MICE and weddings revenue rose 25% in 2025 (DCT Abu Dhabi, via Gulf News; RAKTDA press release). The cost side does not. No published cost per lead, lead-to-proposal or proposal-to-win rate for hotel MICE or weddings was found in the sources reviewed, for the UAE or globally (BookingWhizz). The nearest reference points are general benchmarks, not benchmarks for event business: Meta Recreation and Travel cost per lead of USD 27.87 globally and about 41.08 for all UAE industries in Superads' vendor sample; US travel search cost per lead of USD 44.70 (WordStream/LocaliQ, 2026 Google Ads Benchmarks, 2025); LinkedIn global B2B cost per lead of USD 75 to 300 with Lead Gen Form conversion of 8 to 15%; and WordStream's US all-industry Meta lead conversion rate of 8.54%. Wedding and MICE leads are likely to cost more than a leisure lead because the audiences are narrower and the forms longer, but the notes contain no figure to say how much more.

Not established in reviewed sources. MICE and wedding lead KPIs for hotels: cost per lead, lead-to-proposal rate, proposal-to-contract rate, average contracted value per lead, response-time benchmarks. Looked for in Cvent's Planner Sourcing Report, Amadeus and HotelPlanner material, Knot and WeddingWire vendor reports and HSMAI MICE studies; none was fetched for this edition (BookingWhizz). ONS intends to address this with permissioned, aggregated enquiry data for UAE venues, split by corporate, association and wedding leads, subject to client consent and data readiness.
ONS READING Until a hotel has its own baseline we recommend tracking five lead KPIs from day one (leads by source, cost per lead by source, proposal rate, contract rate and contracted value per lead) and not comparing the cost per lead with leisure benchmarks such as the USD 27.87 Meta Recreation and Travel figure, which measures newsletter sign-ups and offer enquiries rather than event business. The conversion definitions we use, with no published numbers attached: a qualified enquiry is a named contact with an event date or date range, a headcount and a budget or venue requirement; a proposal is a written offer with rates, space and terms sent against a qualified enquiry; a contract is a signed agreement with a deposit or guarantee. Lead-to-proposal rate is proposals divided by qualified enquiries; proposal-to-contract rate is contracts divided by proposals; contracted value per lead is total contracted revenue divided by qualified enquiries. Conversations started by WhatsApp or call are counted separately until they qualify. Response time matters in its own right for an enquiry channel; the hotel sets its own standard rather than relying on any platform's messaging terms.

6. Email and post-stay survey benchmarks

Email is the only marketing channel in the notes with hotel-specific benchmark data from a hotel-specific vendor, and the only one with a Middle East regional row. The complication is that provider samples and campaign types differ, that open rate, click rate and click-to-open rate have distinct denominators, and that reported open rates no longer equal human engagement; privacy changes such as Apple Mail Privacy Protection are one possible factor behind higher reported opens in later years. Open rates from different years or providers are therefore not compared as a trend here; click and conversion rates are the more comparable series.

Revinate's hotel data gives the cleanest series. In 2020, on more than 368m hotel emails, campaigns opened at 18.6%, clicked at 2.4% and converted (reservations per recipient) at 0.11%; segments under 5,000 recipients did better at 25.9%, 3.9% and 0.21% (Revinate). In the 2026 Hospitality Benchmark Report, targeted lists under 5,000 contacts opened at 42.78%, broad one-time sends above 29%, and newsletter CTR was 2.15% (Revinate). The two reports are different samples and campaign scopes, so the move in open rate from 18.6% to 42.78% is not read as a trend, and privacy changes are one possible factor in it; the CTR moving from 2.4% to 2.15% is the more comparable series. Revinate's 2018 report, on 77m emails, gave EMEA one-time campaign opens of 18.5% against 16.8% in APAC and 15.6% in North America, EMEA conversion of 0.63%, segmented campaigns lifting opens 20%, CTR 70% and revenue per recipient 73%, and transactional benchmarks of up to 70% open and 17% CTR for confirmations and 50% and 13% for welcome emails; it also recorded an average Middle East guest database of more than 25,000 profiles but no Middle East performance figures. Cart-abandonment emails are quoted second-hand at 66% open and 10% conversion, with the underlying dates and definitions unspecified (Hotel-Online/HFTP).

The ESP industry rows conflict with each other and with Revinate. Benchmark Email, on around 68,000 users, reports hospitality open 33.34%, click 1.65% and unsubscribe 0.11%, Travel and Tourism 23.04% and 0.76% and a Middle East all-industry row of open 16.39%, click 0.89%, with no UAE split. MailerLite's Hospitality and Travel row is open 45.21%, CTR 2.43%, click-to-open 3.94% against an all-industry open of 42.35%. Campaign Monitor's Travel, Hospitality and Leisure row, as reproduced by rasa.io with no benchmark year stated, is open 20.2%, click 1.4%; Gourmet Marketing's restatement of Campaign Monitor is 17 to 28% open with an unsourced CTR of 3.5 to 4%. MoEngage's 17.3bn-email dataset shows journey-based Travel and Hospitality emails opening at 26%, 2.89x the broadcast rate, with behaviour-based click-to-open of 9%. Andava's UAE figures (open 24%, CTR 2.8%, conversion 1.5%) are unsourced.

Post-stay surveys

Revinate's 2026 report puts post-stay survey completion under 5% as the industry average, 3.64% in North America and 4.41% in APAC, with no Middle East breakdown. No UAE hotel NPS benchmark was established in reviewed sources; Shiji ReviewPro reports a global hotel NPS of 56.9 for Q2 2026, alongside a Global Review Index of 87.3%, a management response rate of 67.2% and an average response time of 3.7 days, with no UAE cut. The only review thresholds in the notes are OTA eligibility rules: Booking.com's Preferred Partner programme, as relayed by vendors, requires a review score of at least 7 out of 10 alongside a performance score of at least 70%.

7. A reporting template

ONS reporting template (planning assumption). The cadence below is our recommendation, not a published standard. Weekly reporting stays at the media and funnel levels because booking windows of 32 days or more mean weekly revenue figures are incomplete (PhocusWire, "Hotel direct bookings steady: SiteMinder report 2025") ; monthly reporting adds the channel-mix and business levels; quarterly reporting adds the slow-moving KPIs and the benchmark comparison. Each row identifies the benchmark used for comparison and its geography, so that a US or global figure is not mistaken for a UAE figure.

8. A worked monthly review

The review below illustrates how to use the template. It is an illustration: the "actual" values are the published benchmark figures themselves, used as if they were one Dubai hotel's results for a month, so that every number has a citation and a known geography. A real review would replace each actual with the hotel's own data and keep the benchmark column.

ONS READING Read top down, this illustrative review says the hotel's problem in the month is market volume, not marketing efficiency: occupancy is 24.3 percentage points below the prior year (advisory H1 2026 against official 2025) while website conversion and Meta costs sit within the range of the published observations. The two actions it supports are examining the channel mix, since two separate global samples show higher observed booking value for website bookings (USD 204 more in SiteMinder's data) and lower direct cancellation (10.6% against 21.8% in Cloudbeds' data), with the hotel's own stayed revenue and cancellation by channel deciding the size of the lever, and fixing the booking engine before buying more generic search clicks, because at the Dubai search price one agency reports the illustrative arithmetic only closes at a conversion rate several times the 2.0% website figure. The review also shows what the hotel cannot yet know: its repeat guest rate, review score and NPS have no UAE external benchmark, only Shiji's global values, so the first quarter should be used to establish the hotel's own baseline.

Gaps in the evidence

Not established in reviewed sources. UAE hotel repeat guest rate, NPS and review-score benchmarks. Looked for in TrustYou, ReviewPro and Shiji review indices, Revinate's regional cuts and DET publications; Shiji publishes global values only (NPS 56.9, GRI 87.3%, Q2 2026) and Revinate's 2026 report gives survey completion for North America and APAC but no Middle East figure. A Middle East cut from Revinate and Shiji would be the likely source.
Not established in reviewed sources. Hotel-specific email benchmarks for the Middle East or UAE. Benchmark Email's Middle East row is all industries, and Revinate's 2018 report gives only the regional database size of more than 25,000 profiles. Andava's UAE email figures are unsourced. ONS intends to address this with permissioned, aggregated campaign data, subject to client consent and data readiness.
Not established in reviewed sources. UAE Meta travel-vertical costs, UAE hotel search CPC and conversion from a documented dataset, and TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube and programmatic benchmarks for hotels or the GCC; these are recorded in detail in Chapter 10 and apply to every media-level KPI in this chapter (Superads; Digital Gravity).
Not established in reviewed sources. A current UAE hotel website or booking-engine conversion figure. The 2.0% THN snapshot is from September to October 2022, before the 2026 downturn and before Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode reached the UAE (The Hotels Network via Hospitality Net). A 2026 Middle East BenchDirect release from THN would be the likely source.
